To enable the supply of fuel, a cylindrical can was developed to fit inside one of the several drop container types.

I'm looking for some information (this is a cross-post, already posted on the Word War II Aircraft forum). Can anyone help with more details on the parachute supply containers shown in the photos below? These were used by the RAAF in New Guinea (one of the photos below shows the container under the wing of a Wirraway), and known as "Jungle Type Containers", but I think they were fairly common.
